Elizabeth Reaser, an American actor on film, TV and stage, is most well-known for her roles in The Twilight Saga as well as TV shows such as Greys Anatomy or True Detective. The producers asked for a short video of her acting as well as MMA. They inquired if Jessica was able to perform sword fighting, so she was able to send them an image of sword fighting. After reading the script, Jessica knew that the role will require training in weapons, and recorded her first class with an experienced instructor. According to Jonathan Glassner, the stunt team was astonished by how well she did during her initial lesson. This was her first US big role, as she has previously appeared in Australian movies. Jessica's mix martial art skills, horseback riding, weapons ability and athleticism allow her to do stunts, embodying the character of a strong woman. Jessica has learned to box, learn muay Thai and is a member of the gym for mixed martial arts in Australia. On set, filming Season 4, Jake Stormoen was greeted by a dog that was wandering around the set. This dog was actually an abandoned puppy who had been living in a location. Jessica was the foster mom to two pups.
